Recently my wife and I deep sixed our land line, and now only have our cell phones. This transition has been easy and is saving us $45 per month. Our life without Ma Bell has been made easier due to our free Google Voice number (see my post) and the fact that we've taken action to turn off cell phone SPAM. New York Times columnist David Pogue has a great article on blocking cell phone SPAM ... worked perfectly for me and my Verizon Wireless account.
