While Corporate Engineering in America, particularity industrial companies without a large consumer products presence, are not rushing to embrace social networking ... there are some neat examples of organizations that understand a little web elbow grease applied in the proper manner helps drive strong technological brand awareness. While it's impossible to find a direct link between a technical post, and selling a $200,000 system, I firmly believe one's technical research and product design reputation helps a company's marketing efforts.
Here are my examples of engineering organizational blogs or online technical magazines (Search this content via Nerd Search!):
- GE Global Research
- IBM
- Mitsubishi Electric
- Oak Ridge National Laboratories
- Raytheon
- Rockwell Collins
- Rolls Royce Aerospace
- Sandia National Laboratories
- Siemens
Finally, I've added these sites to the Engineering Blog Section of my Engineering Learning Portal.
