Although I consider myself knowledgable with many Web 2.0 social networking tools, there's a lot I need to learn. My foray into podcasting has been useful, but I need to learn how to create visual content for small mobile devices. Thus, I'll be hanging out next week at eLearning Devcon in a University of Salt Lake City dorm with a bunch of other nerds!
Here are some very useful screencasts which I've reviewed within the last few days (discovered via the TechSmith blog):
The iPhone screencast uses a relatively new development tool, Aptana. This open source tool (Wikipedia entry) is amazing, and free (overview screencast). Not only does it allow one to develop for the iPhone, but it runs your project in a simulated iPhone environment (cool). Aptana is also good for developing other web based projects like widgets. The code editor is like nothing like I've ever seen. It almost makes it easy to read and debug html, javascript and CSS!
I will add Aptana TV for my Google Co-Op screencast search engine.
Finally, interested in the iPod instead? Learn how to create learning content for the iPod via this post! Obviously the installed iPod base in huge compared to the iPhone. The iPhone may be cool, and new, but the creating content for the iPod has much more practical payoffs.
